Nase is a young girl who's studying go as insei. She appears when Hikaru (il manqué la suite). She seems to be as old as Waya. Although she isn't the only girl insei, that's her who brings a feminine touch in this world almost entirely masculine. She is pretty well, which explains her place in the first class.

A girl who becomes well integrate in the masculine group (dominant feature).

Very feminine, Nase is very well accepted from Waya's group. Although she is in a study group, she shares her spare time with the merry band of Isumi. She is the one who stay in touch with the others too. So, that's her who tells Waya that Isumi goes to China, and who tries to understand Shindo after Sai disappearance. The boys consider her a little like their great or little sister. However, in spite of her good level at go, her lack of trust and her hesitation make she often loose and must suffer long tests to succeed.

An Akari substitute .

Nase has a particular relation with some of the first class members, but especially with Shindo. She takes the place, as it were, of Akari and plays the part of friend and great sister. She worries very often about him. She understands him well too and certainly better than Akari, who doesn't know anything at go.

Persevering, playful but very serious, she is the major asset in Hikaru's evolution within insei.

Anecdotes.

Nase, although she belongs to the insei elite, stays a young girl like the others. She has a Mother and adores going to Karaoke and going out same if her preference stay always for go. She criticizes sometimes Waya who plays the independent and seems to be very friend with Iijima.
