- Hikaru no go world -

The 10/01st Sixteenth game. Ochi is reassured. He beats Iijima. Honda, Waya, Isumi and Hikaru win. Hikaru reveals to Ochi that he has been tough to beat Nase. Ochi thinks that Hikaru has really changed.

The 10/03rd Seventeenth game, Honda beats Hikaru. But Toshinori has the feeling that Hikaru beats him because he has an offensive game and he wins a narrow victory. This bothers Ochi.

Ochi's driver starts learning go while Ochi is more and more preoccupied by Hikaru. He asked his grandfather to call Akira.

Akira teaches Ochi go and advises him to not play with other professionals than him. He orders him to study Shusaku's games. He show him the game played by Hikaru and Su Yong. Ochi understands Isumi's reaction and begins despairing of defeating Hikaru. But Akira assures him that he is here to help him in beating Hikaru.

The 10/07th Eighteenth game. Komiya and Adachi are level. Their game ends in Komiya's winning. Tsubaki has seven defeats and hopes that the first will fail so that he has chance to become a professional.

The 10/10th Twentieth game. Ochi has one defeat, Waya two defeats, Hikaru, Isumi and Honda three defeats, Komiya five defeats, Adachi and Katagiri have six defeats and Tsubaki seven.

The 10/14th Game twenty one. Nase beats Honda. But she wonders what her future in go is like. Waya beats Tsubaki. Hikaru beats Katagiri. While riding back Hikaru on his motorbike, Tsubaki asks him to be professional in place of him.

Akira teaches Ochi, but the conversation becomes heated. Akira makes up his mind to show Ochi the second game he played with Hikaru.

The 10/15th Game twenty two. Hikaru beats Adachi and Waya beats Komiya. Honda beats Isumi. It might be play-off.

The 10/22th Game twenty five. Ochi becomes professional. He admits to Shinoda-sensei that his aim is to beat Hikaru. Waya plays on the net. Sai appears, but it is a false Sai.

The 10/23th Hikaru copies Sai's moves more and more often. Sai notices this above all when Hikaru is in trouble while playing. Hikaru explains that he puts himself to Sai's position. This worried the ghost. He does not know he could go on like this. Waya is under pressure because of Morishita-sensei who asks him why is not able to pass the professional go exam. Shigeko teases Waya.

The 10/24th Twenty sixth game. Waya is playing a decisive game against Hikaru. Hikaru is in a difficult position. His group of black stone is near to die. He does not see the move which will make the group alive. He puts himself in Sai's position because he is certain there is a way for black stone to stay alive. He sees the move and wins the game. Waya congratulates him and says him that he will be stronger than Sai. Honda loses his chances of being a professional this year. He runs away crying.

Akira comes to train Ochi for the last time. Ochi's grandfather wants to organize party to celebrate his grandson's success. Ochi wants Akira to consider him as a rival and to go aat Meijin's study group. Akira accepts only if Ochi defeats Hikaru.

The 10/28th Last games. Speculations about the games of the fourth first candidates are flying around. The professional exam's organizers speak about the holding of play-off if there are some. Ochi tells Hikaru that Akira went to play with him often. Hikaru is surprised and asks if Akira asks about him. Ochi answers him that it has not been the case, but Hikaru realizes that Ochi lies. He wants to be Akira's rival. The game between Ochi and Hikaru looks as it is going to be tough.
Waya versus Fuku.
The journalists come to see who will become professional.
Isumi succeeds in keeping his four defeats. He waits for the result of Waya and Hikaru's games. Waya wins. So does Hikaru. Isumi goes away, demoralized under the rain.
Akira is teaching go to people when Amano comes to interview him. Akira tells him that is not free tonight. He learns about Hikaru's victory. He goes to Ochi's house. The boy refuses to see him. Akira waits for Hikaru to come into the professional world of the go.
